What to have Mirror
What to do Make up a song to teach parts of the body. A good tune to use is “Here We Go Around the Mulberry Bush.” As you sit with an infant in front of the mirror, sing the song. “This is the way we touch our mouth, touch our mouth, touch our mouth. This is the way we touch our mouth, early in the morning.” Go through various body parts. Note that infants have a short attention span, so don’t make the game too long.
Why To teach the names of body parts. To promote the development of a positive sense of self.
