About the Author:

Carolyn Edwards was a professor of psychology and child, youth, and family studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She earned a doctorate in human development from Harvard University and completed postdoctoral work in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Carolyn passed away in May 2018. She leaves behind a legacy of ardent creative learning with the colleagues and students whose lives she touched, on the field of early childhood education.
