Connie Jo Smith, EdD

Biography: Dr. Connie Jo Smith is passionate about encouraging curiosity, creativity, and problem solving in children and adults. Exploring playful ways to learn and live life are of increasing importance to her. During Connie Jo's many years in the field of early childhood she has been fortunate to serve as a teacher of young children (in Head Start, child care, and a university lab school); college instructor (undergraduate in areas of early childhood and graduate in instructional design); workshop presenter (at local state, and national events), program administrator (for child services, CCRR agency, state program, and college scholarships via foundation funds) and an author. Connie Jo earned an EdD in instructional technology and distance education from Nova Southeastern University, an EdS in elementary curriculum and Instruction from Western Kentucky University, and an MA and BS in elementary education with a concentration in early childhood education.
