Karen Petty, PhD, is an associate professor and component chair at Texas Women's University. In addition to having over 20 years of experience teaching young children and conducting workshops, she has also done consulting, curriculum writing, and training for staff that work with children on US military bases. She is published in many journals and served as editor for the Texas AEYC journal.
