Biography: 

Sally Moomaw Sally Moomaw is the associate director for professional development at the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center, and a clinical faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. Sally earned a bachelor's degree in music and a master's degree in child development, both from the University of Cincinnati. She is currently working on a doctorate in special education. Sally has taught preschool and kindergarten children in inclusive classrooms at the Arlitt Center for twenty-two years. She coauthored Lessons from Turtle Island: Native Curriculum in Early Childhood Classrooms, which won the 2003 Outstanding Book Award from the Gustavus Meyers Center for the Study of Bigotry and Human Rights. She is also a coauthor of the popular More Than . . . curriculum series. She created the Ohio Department of Education Mathematics Tool Kit, to help preschool teachers implement state content standards, and she has served as a faculty member on nationally televised broadcasts, including Heads-Up! Reading. Her research interests include early mathematics development and social justice.
