Super Science Resource!
I am so excited to introduce you to another fantastic resource for educating young children, and encouraging early literacy among preschoolers. Incredible Edible Science is full of wonderful activities that will introduce science, cooking and early literacy to children ages 3-6 years.
I found all the activities in Incredible Edible Science very easy to implement and move will use everyday items you will find in your home (a huge plus for budget conscious early childhood educators, like myself).
An awesome resource to incorporate the natural combination of food and science. You will be given a brief introduction to child brain development and some amazing tips regarding food safety during science activities.
I was able to perform two of these experiments and the kids LOVED them!
My favorite section was science/literacy and one activity which integrated science with the story of The Three Bears. It was very easy to prepare and implement and children learned about sizing concepts and how water affects food.
If you are looking for a great resource for homeschooling, early childhood education classrooms and early elementary classes, this is one book that I highly recommend!
